Synopsis: 
Chow Yun Fat was a famous, clever, rich and spoiled playboy in town. His wealthy grandma had a rich twin sister. The younger twin has a granddaughter Li Chi. The twin grannies wished to match up their grand children so that their legacy would not fall into the hands of outsiders. Unfortunately, the two grandchildren were not fond of each other. Chow met Cheung Ai Ka in a charity party and had a crash on her. Cheung had misunderstood Chow as a poor guy who worked as a choreman in her brother's food shop. Her brother, Ha Yu, was gonna get her to marry another rich man Cheng Tan Shui. But Cheung did not like Cheng but fell in love with Chow. Cheng and Li were annoyed and set up some plans to break them up...

林寶生（周潤發　飾）是城中闊少，玩世不恭。其祖母為巨富孖女的大孖，小孖的孫女為玉仙（利智　飾），兩老希望寶生和玉仙可以通婚，繼承龐大的遺產，肥水不流別人田，但是二人並不相愛。寶生對此非常不滿，決定離家出走，在餐廳當雜工，並認識了太子女（張艾嘉　飾），一見鍾情。婚期將至，寶生的真實身份亦即將浮面……
