Synopsis:
Hong Kong’s comedy queen Sandra Ng and Singapore’s comedy king Mark Lee team up in a surprising drama-comedy that draws on the tradition of posthumous ghost marriage. A former singer hires a famous child medium and his father to find a bride for her late son, but an unexpected spouse gets chosen, leading to one heck of a Chinese ghost wedding. Better known in recent years as a TV producer/director whose credits include the hit Singapore sitcom Police & Thief, Meng Ong finally returns to the silver screen after 2001’s Miss Wonton with this second feature, which was selected for the Sundance Institute Screenwriting Lab.
